I am planning on buying an XFX Black Edition P1-750B-CAG9 750W PSU fro my new build (gaming - i5, gtx 460, 1156 asus, win 7, 1tb hd, dvd burner, 4gb hyperx kingston)

Are there any other recommended psu's out there?

He means in this wattage area. The XFX 750 is an awesome PSU. It's the one I have currently. It's biggest competitors would be the Corsair 750 (hx/ax) as well as the Seasonic 750. Usually the XFX is significantly cheaper than these other two, especially when compared to the Corsair 750w modular.

HOWEVER, the corsair 750w modular psu is on sale, with a rebate, and has free shipping. This makes the two PSU's almost exactly the same price! (116 vs. 120)

If you are ONLY buying a PSU, I would have to give the nod to the Corsair, if only for the fact that their warranty is 2 years longer (7 years vs. 5 years). I love my XFX750, but at 120, the Corsair is tough to beat.

That being said, if you're buying multiple components, the XFX is in WAY more decent combo deals than the Corsair.

Actually the XFX 750 has a 15% off promo code so its only $96.50 after shipping and rebates which makes it a much better deal than the HX750.

Only a few units have a 7 year warranty so i wouldnt pick the HX750 over the XFX for that, the XFX unit did quite well and is an incredible deal. XFX has only been making PSUs for less than a year now, hopefully their warranties will increase to 7 years or lifetime once they get some failure rate data in.
