Performance testing

:o I have a question, how would you set up a system performance test to measure the change to a system before and after installing and running software such as PC Utilities, Advanced SystemCare, Tuneup Utilities, System Mechanic, CCleaner, whatever. I have a 2 year old system that is just cluttered to the hilt with temp files, probably a crap load of old system files, disk fragmentation, bloated registry and probably everything else but I want to measure all performance areas before using a cleanup tool, install and use a cleaning tool and then take performance measurements again. I know Microsoft has their Windows Performance Tool but I have a problem using performance software made by the very company that makes the operating system I am trying to measure the performance of. I will take any and all comments from the fellow posters.
