Problem with my E2200

Hello, Recently (not sure when) windows doesnt recognize one of my cores on my Intel Pentium Dual Core e2200.... I checked the task manager only shows 1 core... and some other places to... i dont think the core is defective since i looked at the device manager and it showed 2 cores and that both of them work correctly.. i checked my bios to see if the problem was there and im sure it wasnt mainly cuz i cant do anything on my bios....
just wondering what should i do to solve this problem?? Should i reinstall windows or something?
