HP Presario c302nr

guys,

wanted to test ram with memtest86. Made disk, reviewed disk and everything seemed ok. Can not get hp presario c302nr to boot from CD/ROM.

restart and esc...set to rom...booted to windows (xp)
restart and F10...reset order to boot rom...booted to windows (xp)

Any thoughts.

Go bios --- select first boot in CD --- if screen show massage *please insert boot from disk * PUSH ENTER, don't wait till diskboot failure.
