I was needing the tv tuner for cable television. I just wanted to get rid of the current bulky tube tv in my room and replace it with this because I'm trying to conserve on space (still in college). That's also one of the driving factors behind getting a second monitor, just to mainly watch tv/movies on while I work on homework and such.

I took your build mosox and slightly altered it. Tell me what you guys think.

IMO swap the case+PSU combo for this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.492896

20$ more and nicer all around.

For 70$ less these 470s offer better price/performance, and very near the same performance. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007709&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&CompareItemList=48|14-162-049^14-162-049-TS%2C14-127-501^14-127-501-S01%2C14-125-320^14-125-320-TS

An i5+p55 mobo is faster for gaming, but if you plan on overclocking or keeping this computer for 3+ years then the X6 may make sense.

If you want the X6, get the 1055t, it's a much better value.
