APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This weekend.

BUDGET RANGE: $1000 US

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, Software Development, Movies, Internet

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers, OS (Windows 7 Professional x64), Monitors

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Anything you feel is reliable.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: United States

PARTS PREFERENCES: TV tuner.

OVERCLOCKING: No

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: I have two Dell SP2309W's.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I also have two additional ~700gb WD Element external hard drives that I want to throw as well but I don't want either to be the primary hard drive so be sure to include a main hard drive.

I though this up last weekend but when I went to order the parts, some of the deals had ended so I figured I would ask again today and order them before the weekend is over. Thanks!

Just speculating, but native res on those monitors with a $1000 system would probably not yield the best performance in gaming :-S

Nice 2048 monitor there, you will need to invest more in a GPU as that's considered a high-resolution.

I was needing the tv tuner for cable television. I just wanted to get rid of the current bulky tube tv in my room and replace it with this because I'm trying to conserve on space (still in college). That's also one of the driving factors behind getting a second monitor, just to mainly watch tv/movies on while I work on homework and such.

I took your build mosox and slightly altered it. Tell me what you guys think.

IMO swap the case+PSU combo for this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...

20$ more and nicer all around.

For 70$ less these 470s offer better price/performance, and very near the same performance. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submi...|14-162-049^14-162-049-TS%2C14-127-501^14-127-501-S01%2C14-125-320^14-125-320-TS

An i5+p55 mobo is faster for gaming, but if you plan on overclocking or keeping this computer for 3+ years then the X6 may make sense.

If you want the X6, get the 1055t, it's a much better value.
