new hp g60 motherboard

I have installed a new motherboard in an hp g60-actually, 2 different ones and keep getting a black screen with system running. Now, after doing a hard shutdown a few times, I have gotten the 7 log on page. Is this a windows 7 denying me access? Or is it another issue? I can also say these motherboards are identical part numbers to the broken board yet have gotten a message stating that the serial number to the board does not match. I can no longer get to the login page or get anything but the black,/blank screen. Thanks for any help

Could be your windows coa can't match the bios string with your new hp board. You may need to call hp and find out how to download windows.
