WinXP Recycle Bin LOST

Don't mean to be nasty, but has it just been dragged off the screen? Right click desktop and Arrange Icons->Auto Arrange (I think it's still there - in Linux at the moment!), then it should appear in the top left hand corner of the screen. You'll have to turn off Auto Arrange by doing the same again if you want to put it back in the bottom right corner of the screen.
