I'm running firefox and at random times it will stall on a webpage and refuse to load it and other times it takes a while to load the webpage. I'm also seeing some screen tearing.

My motherboard is an 870-G54.

The only drivers I've installed are the ones for my graphics card. What else do I need?

You're not giving us much info here, which OS are you using and have you installed your motherboard drivers? Can't get much more basic, but there is a butt load of drivers and support files that you probably are required to have. But all of those can't be identified until we know what you're using and what you may need for the final installation. Certain games also require support files to be installed, are we having fun yet lol.

Find the manufacturer of you motherboard, they should have an update on their website.

If you have a generic motherboard and can't tell who made it, download PassMark PT.
http://www.passmark.com/download/pt_download.htm

Scroll your mouse over the motherboard and it will show you the manufacturer and the Bios builder.

I would highly recommend a disk error check.
Navigate over to your 'My Computer' panel and right click your main HDD.
Properties - Tools: Error-Checking
Check both of the boxes, you may have to restart your computer.

If neither of those fix your issue, it's a problem with your ISP/Modem/Router.
