Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06 To A Intel Core Quad 3.0

I am upgrading a friends computer he has a Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06Ghz LGA 775 CPU and I am going to install a Intel Core 2 Quad 3.0Ghz CPU Do I need to wipe windows Vista and install a fresh copy or do I let windows install the new driver for the CPU.
Any help would be great.
