Hey guys,

I'm interesting in building my first rig and my price range is 2400-2600. Thanks in advance for all your input.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This week(Tuesday?)

BUDGET RANGE: 2400-2600

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Speakers, monitor, hard drive/SSD

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: US

PARTS PREFERENCES: EVGA 480 Superclocked or FTW

OVERCLOCKING: Yes

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Yes

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1900 x 1200

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: A quiet rig would be nice but a cool one is much more important! First time builder. Thanks to theAnimal for this template and to tecmo34 for pointing me in the DIY direction!

Here are some components I'm considering but I'm considering water cooling instead of air as an option. 2 480's are overkill at this point so I could add one later. This is my first build so I may be missing stuff from the list that I don't even realize I need.

bombat thanks for the ram suggestion but I did some reading and it appears a lot of folks are having issues with the Rampage III board and ram that isn't on the QVL list.
