Hello, recently I was running a defrag on my secondary hard drive, and partway through I ended up cancelling the action. Since then when I restart the computer it will not recognize the secondary drive, sometimes it wont even boot the 1st drive, unless I unplug both hard drives and power down the system fully by unplugging it. Once I finally get it started with both drives connected, (usually after a system start up repair and a system restore) I have to search for recently added hardware and it will install the software for the secondary hard drive and the files are then accessible. Now, all seems well and good, but since then I have also had sever game freezes when running anything in 3d. Bench tests in kombuster showing that the system is running hot, like 103 degrees, when under stress load of about 90%..
I am hoping I didn't frack anything up by cancelling a defrag, any info will help!
if I have to replace anything I would like to know what it is I have to replace!
Well, there we go, I am thinking that my next step today is to back up as much info as I can, and am going to re-install windows on the primary drive as I have restored as far back as I can go, and see if the system will read both drives and start properly.
