Graphics driver failed to recover

Hello,
I was playing guild wars (A pc game) when my screen started doing strange things - the display had alot of angular, multicoloured triangles. after that, it went to a blue screen with a message along the lines of 'graphics driver failed to recover' and something about 'crash dump.'

Then it turned itself off, and displays a white screen whenever i attempt to turn it back on.

my card is a nvidia geforce 8400, and this is a laptop.

So try download and install the driver for your 8400 from nvidia site...

uninstall the existing driver fully and then go for the latest one and more stable drivers for your card...
