Router on network

Hello,
Will adding a wireless router to my school network running 08 r2 cause a problelm with the dhcp

I think more detail would help people answer your question -- though I know that you can turn off DHCP in the router and you may have to change its default IP address.

We would like to use it as an access point. We turned off the dhcp and pointed it to the server. When we do that we get limited or no connectivity. When we let it hand out 192 ip's it works fine. I was just wondering if the 192 ip's would conflict with the server in anyway.
