New build, ssd reads but not storage hd

I just finished my new build (first time doing it ) and for whatever reason my storage hard drive is not reading. I am using a 128GB ssd for my OS and several programs and have a 1TB WD Black drive for my other storage. I'm very confused though why the WD Black drive isn't showing up in "My Computer" as a storage option. When I check the BIOS it's listed as a drive that I can boot to with override, but it doesn't show up in the drive boot order. It's showing up in diskpart list disk which confuses me more.... lol. I would appreciate any advice or tips with this issue.

Press Start, type "computer management" and hit enter.

Click on Disk Management, if you see your drive initialize it with a partition and format it.
