Folders gone from external hard drive
Last response: in Storage
Was uploading some photos from my external hard drive to my PC. Now most folders are gone. My PC still shows that I have used 200 GB of space. So something is still there. My laptop will not even recognize it. Help!

They are possibly hidden somehow. You could try to show them:
Start => Run => Type in “control folders” and press “OK” =>Click “View” and hook “Show hidden files and folders”=> Press “OK”.
If the first way doesn’t make a sense, your hard drive may be logically damaged somehow. To get back your 200GB of data, you should try a free hard drive recovery utility that can help user process different recovery problems by providing four recovery options. Actually, I know it because it has ever recovered all lost data of my girl friend from a flash drive. It is really worth a shot.
