I have 1 xfx hd 5750, if i buy i second one and put the 2 in crossfire, will i be able to use 3 dvi monitors in eyefinity? (2 on 1 card, 1 on the other)

ive never done a crossfire configuration before, so will i need 2 crossfire bridges for the 5750's? there is 2 connectors on the top so im guessing i do, please excuse my noobness XD

Nope, youll need an active DP->DVI dongle.

Yeah, for Crossfire all monitors have to be on one card.

Connecting a third DVI monitor on the second card will make you lose Crossfire, but will probably still power the monitor in extended mode.

Not eyefinity, but yes, you can run 3 monitors with 2 HD5750s.

The only thing is one HD5750 will power the first 2 monitors and the second HD5750 will power the third, which means you can still only game on 2 monitors.

so the only way to get eyefinity is for me to get a active dp adapter or get a native dp monitor?

Yup, but if you have a low budget, there's a DP->VGA adapter for ~$25 that should works fine for monitors 1650*1080 or below.

the 3rd monitor i wanted to use is a samsung syncmaster 940bw, the native resolution is 1440x900, do you think the picture quality would be alot worse than a dvi connection?

No actually, I've tried using both a VGA and DVI cord on my monitor and the difference was barely noticeable if it existed at all.

keep in mind for eyefinity all 3 Monitors have to be connected to the same GPU. eyefinity cant be spread across multiple monitors

what if i had all 3 eyefinity monitors on 1 card, and then had my 37" living room tv on the second card, would that be possible while still using crossfire?

No, not at the same time.

You could switch between them though, once you turn on the TV, crossfire goes poof.

The rule is, you simply can not use more than 3 displays at the same time with an HD5750 Crossfire.

You can connect the TV for the ease of switching though, instead of actually going back there and mess with the wires. When the TV is off, it acts like nothings there.
