I recently followed instructions to go from 64 bit to 32 bit in windows 7. I was successful. My question is how do I now go back to 64 bit?

If you have the retail version of Windows 7, it includes both 32 and 64 bit versions. You can not "upgrade" from one to the other. You need to do a clean install of the OS.

Also, what's this question have to do with the topic, "IE8 for Win 7 64"?

Most of all users will do this steps.
32bit / 64bit change - must format the drive and clean install is best way to do.
64bit / 32bit change - same.
because of the clean install we don't have to worry about 64bit driver and 32bit driver.

I believe he's referring to IE 8, not the OS. I assume he has a 64bit OS, and somehow downgraded to 32bit for IE. Now, he wants to go back to 64bit IE. On that note, I have no idea, lol.

If that's the case, installing the 64 bit version of IE automatically installs the 32 bit version also, so he's half way there. He just needs to reinstall the 64 bit version of IE.

There are very few 64 bit plugins/addons for 64 bit browsers so don't expect a lot of things to work.
