ok, I had a 9800 gt that just burned out, the wife bought me a ati hd 2400 pro...I know slow but its better than the 6150 se on board, and it was 20.00 on gearxs.com
now I just found a hd 2600 for 32.00, seams to be a bit better until zotac releases my card in 30 days...just have some games i would like to play but the hd2400 is a bit slow with 40 streams and the 2600 has 120. so Is this a better deal? the only other card I have is a nvidia 7300 and I know thats real slow as well isnt it? I know the 9800 gt is one of the best but money is really tight and I hope the 2600 is better I wnt from a 5.0 in windows to a 3.5

9800GT >>>>> HD 2600XT > HD 2600 Pro > 7300GT > HD 2400 Pro > 7300GS > 7300LE > 7300SE

I wasn't sure which 2600 you were talking about or which 7300 you were talking about. But really the difference between the 2600 Pro, 7300GT, and 2400 Pro is pretty small. I'd suck it up and wait till you get your card back. (Obviously if you have the 7300GT and not the GS,LE, or SE, then use that instead of the 2400 Pro since its better).

have the powercolor 256 mb ddr2 pro. looking AT the saphire 2600 pro 256 mb, and I have a 7300 le all pcie. zotac had my card for the last 5 weeks and they just told me itll be 30 days from now, my on board sucks and cant handle anything I have so the wife did me a favor and bought a cheap card for 20.88 which was the hd2400 ddr2. I saw a hd 2600 hd pro thats has a bit more speed and it will cost me another 20 dollars with a rebate I had. and the other one is from a HP we had that fried bit the card was still good and its a 7300 le

It wouldn't be worth the 32 + the 20 sunk dollars for the 2400 if yuo did that, trust me. That card may have seemed decent back then but you're not going to notice a big difference in the cards at this point in time.

Honesty, I'd just wait it out and play with the 2400, or see if a friend will let you borrow a 8600 or better card they might have laying around.

Fixed!
