I have recently run into some problems with my SSD drive.
After installing and running well for the last few months, my SSD is not booting. I turned my computer off for the past week as I was away and when I return it is telling me:
"Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"
The BIOS is picking up the physical drive as it is still set as the boot device, and a firmware update for the motherboard has not solved the problem. Windows install disc does not recognise a windows install present to repair, however when trying to locate a driver, explorer finds the SSD is fine as C:.
I was running Windows 7 with an asrock Z77 extreme 6 motherboard.
I have read many threads but they all appear to be related to installing.
