And what size (resolution) screen you want to game on. That will determine which cpu and graphics card is required.

at the moment i m running on 19" ( 1280x1024 )but i do plan to change that to a 24" ( 1920x1080 ) least ?

and my range would be around 600~ euros max.

Dell, LG, Samsung and Viewsonic make really good monitors. (Asus monitors are crap!)

OCZ Vertex2 SSD 32GB (for OS)
500GB to 1TB Hard Drive
ATI Radeon 5850 1GB GDDR5 graphics card
CD/DVD Burner by Lite On
Any Midtower case by Antec, InWin
Any 550watt or more PSU (I personally don't care prefer any PSU brands)

That is any easy build for way under 600 euros.

Mistake, get the ATI Radeon 5750

well my budget is around 600~ euros give or take , that excluding keyboard , speakers etc.
