Question about the GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 MOBO

This is the MOBO I'm currently ordering...

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128502

In the specs, it says "PCI Express 2.0 x16: 3 (x16, x8, x4) "

Does that mean I have a choice of running 1 GPU at 16x/0/0 or 2 GPU in SLI/CF at 8x/8x/0 or 3 GPU in 4x/4x/4x?

Since I currently have ordered 1 GTX 570, I can just run it at 16x, but if say in the future, I order a second GTX 570, I can run it in 8x/8x without having to fill up the last slot right?

More about question z68a mobo
  1. that third pcie slot will be blocked by the second card.
also i want to say that the third slot is powered by a separate chipset than the other 2, but i can be wrong.

another thing to note is that people are saying you cant overclock with that board, i was looking at on getting the same one but then saw some of the reviews and it turned me away.

This is a great guide for overclocking.. It's not an exact match for your board but I can tell ya it worked for me and I have the same board as you are odering and it's overclocked to 4.7 GHZ stable. Excellent economical m/b!
