5750 Crossfire + p55 chipset

Im planning to get a second 5750 to put in a crossfire configuration, but the p55 chipset will only allow for each card to run in 8x in crossfire. Im kind of new to this area so my question is, will there be any difference by getting a second 5750 for crossfire? or will it be a waste due to each card only being able to run at 8x?

Dual 8x performs pretty much like dual 16x,so it will perform well and there won't be any performance loses(unless on extremely high resolutions with AA/AF)
