Switching SATA Controller Mode

Last response: in Motherboards

Hi,

I need to switch my SATA knowledgeable motherboard to something called “Legacy IDE” or “Legacy Operation” or “Compatibility Mode” in order to run pattern testing.

However, in my motherboard BIOS there doesn’t appear to be any such SATA setting.

In the advanced settings the only SATA Controller Mode options are IDE, RAID & AHCI, with RAID being the default setting.

My HP desktop PC has a MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) motherboard and the BIOS revision is 5.07 (12/21/09).

Is it possible that my PC does not support the legacy or compatibility SATA modes?
