Good day all, this is the first time I'm posting here at Tom's Hardware
I reformatted my Desktop to see if that fixes the problem, sadly it doesn't
Here are the symptoms:
- Random freezes, for about 30 seconds-1 minute then it will respond for a little while, then freeze again. This includes all tasks such as basic browsing, heavy gaming, even just logging in
- When it freezes completely, I will reboot it and sometimes it will give a Disk Read Error, sometimes it will just ask if I want to boot it in Safe Mode or just Run Windows Normally
- When I tried to reformat it before, I get errors that it can't write the new Windows files, I can't even format the drives or create a new partition on the Windows setup, as it gives me Hard Drive errors (0x80070057). I have read around that it usually is the SATA Cable
And finally, when I try to remove - reattach the SATA Cable, the problems go away for about a day or 2, and will go back to haunt me once again
So the question is - is the SATA Cable the root of all evil? Should I replace it for a new one?
Thanks if advance guys. I'm kinda newb on fixing desktops and such.
