Ati 5670 or gts 250 or ati 4770?

I like to upgrade my vcard... my old one is GF9500GT 1GB DDR2 128BIT.......which of these cards is more likely compatible with my pc specs?

ATI 5670 OR GF GTS 250 OR ATI 4770?



MB: ASUS P5KPL AM SE
CPU: CORE 2 QUAD Q8400 2.66 GHZ 4MB
RAM: 2X 2GB DDR2
HDD: SAMSUNG 500GB SATA 7200RPM
MONITOR: SAMSUNG 17 INCH LCD (might go for 19 inch LED in a few months)
PSU: GENERIC 600W POWER SUPPLY
OPTICAL: DVD RW
RESOLUTION: 1280x1024

Do you care about DX11? What games do you mostly? The 5770 is so much better then the 5670. Judging by what seems to be your budget its probably what I would get. But only if you care about DX11.

Between those choices,GTS 250 is the best,also i wouldn't recommend getting anything higher than GTS 250 for 1280x1024,because it can handle games fine on that res

i dont care about dx11.... i care about fast gameplay... that means no lag at all... for now i cant afford the 5770... it cost too much here in the philippines.... it cost 180USD..... the three vcard that i mention is about 124 usd here...the games i played mostly.. nba2k10, bfbc2, mw2,

thanks, but i will go for viewsonic 19inch led in two months, it means im going play on a higher resolution i think its 1440x900.. you think that the gameplay in gts 250 will be fast in that resolution?

The gts 250 i think will be able to handle all games fine at 1440x900....but still who knows about the upcoming games so if you want your graphic card to be more futuristic at same price consider what Helltech says i.e going for dx 11 card..

Yes it can handle current games perfectly fine on that res.

gtx250 will do fine even in 1600x1200
I have 8800gt and I play games in 1920x1080 on medium quality.
However I would too go for 5770 since it's only $60 more for you.
Amazon has it for $150 (but I don't know if they ship to Phillipines).

lol 600 watt is much, most modern cards need 450 to 500 watts
You'll have no problem running your gts 250 on 600w

The GTS 250 is fine, you could also consider the HD 4850.It should cost the same as a GTS 250 and the 1GB version should perform a little better.

I doubt this! 600W rated generic PSU's are nothing but crap. Impure power to the mobo, they don't even deliver their rated capacity, low efficiency, probably not active PFC as well.. They wont do any good. Change your PSU or see your CPU go boom!

it will work, but be ready for a fireworks display taking your other computer parts with it as well.

a gts250 has a max power draw of 150w, compared to the HD4770 which has a max power draw of 80w and the 5670 has a max power draw of 61w. go for the 4770 or 5670.

Get the HD 4770, it's only slightly inferior to the GTS 250 an it consumes much less than the 250.
