Wmware asus p5q no sound mac lion

Hi there.

I have just installed Mac os x Lion in Wmware 7.

Everything works eccept from the sound.

I have an ASUS P5Q motherboard with oboard sound.

I have googled for some time, and I don't seem to be alone with this problem.

Do you have any suggestions?

You will need to get an Azalia kext. Look up the VMWare vtools "chipset" on the x86 channels and you should find plenty of information. These forums are NOT however, here to seek help for items that are of illicet nature. Yes, Installing OS X on YOUR PC is against Apple's ToS. If you downloaded OS X for "free", you are even worse off. Try the x86 forums but this forum is for legal, service abiding conduct.

Again, you will need a kext as well as a program to to edit kexts and other mac files. It's been a bit since I x86'd. Sorry, hope I was some help.
