I need some expert advice from those of you who know computers well. I currently have a 4 year-old Dell XPS M1210 with a 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce GO 7400 TurboCache video card, an Intel Core Duo Processor T2600 (2.16 GHz), 4 GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667 MHz, and 100 GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive.

My boss wants to exchange that machine for a Dell Latitude E6400 Intel Core duo CPU 2.40 GHz, 4 GB memory, Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family video card, and 80GB Hard drive.

Would any of you be enthusiastic about this exchange? And why?

Solution
In terms of CPU,you'll get a good boost in performance, in terms of RAM,there won't be much of a difference.
As for VGA,although Intel X4500MHD isn't much faster than Geforce 7400,but it has newer techs.
So overall, the main performance impact is from the CPU.
