Support sata and pata botha at a time

helllooo....hey i have a 915mother board ...it has both sata and pata option...so how can i connect both type of hardrives(sata and pata) at a time.....when i connect both of the the system restarts again and again

It sounds as if the IDE (PATA) hard drive you are attempting to connect is bad. Check the jumper settings and, if it is being used as extra storage, set the jumper to slave. If you intend to boot from it, set it to master. Also, be sure to set the SATA mode to IDE within the BIOS. That also could be your problem. It may currently be set to RAID or AHCI. Neither of which are what you want. Set SATA to PATA, IDE, or Legacy. (They are all the same, different boards list them different ways though)
