Yes it is compatible. It looks like a nice setup to me also.

as for a soundcard, the motherboard has onboard. Unless you have a monster speaker setup, most people don't notice a sound quality difference moving away from onboard.

You do need a monitor, keyboard, mouse and electrical wall outlet to game though
