Can you run three dual channel kits on an x58?

New egg has these on sale:

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM

I have an i7 920/x58.

Could I buy three of these kits, filling all six slots, and run stable @ 1600?

Can you YES should you MAYBE NOT. Placing 3 kits of F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM is NOT guaranteed to work, the only guarantee is a Hexa-kit. More than likely the F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM will NOT run 1600 MHz 8-8-8-24 but 'probably' run 1600 MHz 9-9-9-24 @ DRAM Voltage of 1.50+~1.60v with a QPI/DRAM Volatile of 1.20~1.25v. XMP will not work so you'll need to set everything manually.

Thank you for the awesome answer. I will wait a bit for prices to drop and get the proper kit. What do you think they will bottom out at? $150?
