  1. ^ What is your screen's resolution ? What kind of games ?
Why not the Phenom X4 955 ?? With the money saved there you could get a more powerful GPU...
  2. X4 955 + ASUS 890GX

    RAM - Mushkin Silverline

    CASE -
    Or any other good case - Antec 300/ 300 Illusion/ CM 690/ HAF 922...

    PSU -
Antec EA 650W - Can easily handle 2x HD 5770s in Crossfire

    Sapphire HD 5770

    Samsung F3 1TB

Total - ~$911 not including shipping or taxes...Also if you check other CA websites like,, memoryexpress,, you would find either lower prices or no additional charges...
  3. My current screen has a resolution of 1440 x 900 ( which sorta sucks) , Im most likely just playing starcraft 2 ( hoping this rig is capable of ultra ...) and LoL .
and about the phenom , my friend told me intel is alot better =S
  4. What if i wanted to crossfire later on in time? which one is better i5 or phenom?
  5. ^ For gaming, the X4 955 is good enough...,2698-5.html
Also for Crossfire, both AMD and Intel are fine, but the Intel platform would cost more...
  6. I actually helped a friend do an i5 build around your budget last week.

The build isn't exactly what he got because he used a bunch of combos and some of those didn't have any. It also doesn't include an OS because he already has that. You could go for a better PSU like a Corsair 650TX or maybe add a boot drive SSD like OCZ Vertex 2 60GB.

I'm sure if you gave us an estimated date of purchase then somebody on these forums could help you build something really nice with combos.
