Hi, I saw a Corsair Dominator 2x4GB on newegg that I want to use with p7p55d-e lx.

However, Asus does not list any 2x4GB in their memory compatibility chart. When you guys build your computers, do you actually look at a similar chart, or does it not matter?

Solution
^ It generally doesnt matter...
The main specs that you have to see when buying memory for LGa 1156 platform is that the memory should operate at 1.65V or less...

It's my understanding that intel set that as the voltage limit for the P55 chipset. It could probably go higher for OC but you risk damaging it. If I'm wrong someone correct me because I've only started looking into this lately myself.

I was considering getting that motherboard in the next few days. Would this ram kit be good? It's got cl7 timing and runs at 1.35V.
