Help please, Budget Gaming PC ($700-800)

A friend recommended I ask here for advice on my first build. I have been researching and looking at different builds and so far it has been pretty overwhelming. Any help/advice would be appreciated, thank you!


APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This week

BUDGET RANGE: $700 - 800

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, monitor, mouse, speakers

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com (doesn't really matter though)

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: none

OVERCLOCKING: No

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 2 monitors, one is 1920 x 1080 and the other 1440 x 900

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I currently play Aion and hopefully FFXIV soon. I will also need to purchase an OS.

for $800, you can get a decent 955 build with a GTX 460 or a HD5850.

^ But if the PC is only for gaming, you could go with the X3 440/ 445 as games in general dont take much advantage more than 3 cores...but might be a different story with the FFXIV though...
