Only one storage drive showing up in BIOS

Ok, so I purchased a computer and assembled it today and in the BIOS only one of my storage drives is detected, I have a Kingston SSD and a WD HDD, then when I switch the SATA cable the other drive it switches so I can only use one at a time, how do I get them both to work?
I have tried every combination within my power with the SATA cables and ports and still no luck.
