Will our front-panel USB be obsolete with LGA 1155?

As titled... If LGA 1155 standardizes USB 3, what happens to the USB 2 ports on the front panel? Is anyone aware of legacy USB 2 support for this circumstance? Has this occurred to anyone else? Most cases currently on the market feature USB 2 in front and have for many years now.

What he means is the pinout of the usb3 header that will/might be for the front ports will not be the same standard 4 pin header anymore so all your front mounted ports will now be useless. USB3 uses 9pins.

I suspect usb3 will be limited to rear ports only as they pretty much are currently and you'll still have usb2 front mount headers. I'll worry about modding my case when I get a mobo with usb3 front headers.

I guess its still to early to know for sure, released specs on 1155 mobos (that I can find) aren't that detailed, but I hope this prediction is accurate.
