Hey, there. I was looking at a couple of 5770's, hoping for some opinions. Currently using IGP on an MSI 790, Phenom II 955, Antec TP-750, and some OCZ black RAM (2x2 DDR3).
I am currently playing Assassin's Creed II, and would like a card that will play today's games over the next year at somewhat high settings.

MSI R5770 Hawk

Gigabyte 5770

After checking reviews, I'm also considering the 4870's. My PSU is under utilized by quite a bit, since I do practically no OC'ing. Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to the forums
Although 4870 is faster,i would recommend going with 5770 because the difference isn't much, also 5770 runs cooler, quieter and has less power consumption along with newer techs like DX11,Eyefinity etc.

Thanks for the response, guys! Any preference between the 2 listed? I like the idea of OC'ing using the MSI software and heard that it actually works. Not sure if Gigabyte makes it as easy, and when it comes to overclocking I still need some hand holding. :hello:

You can OC with both ATI Control center or MSI afterburner, the later one has more options though.

Again, thanks for your help! I think I'm sold on the MSI R5770 Hawk. Reviews also state that the core is ~25mhz faster out of the box than most other 5770's, so that'll be a bonus if I decide not to OC.
