Im going to be upgrading my system with Intel Core i5-2500k CPU pretty soon and am looking for best motherboard for price and performance. Was looking at the $1000 Toms Hardware Gaming PC build Mother board of the MSI P67A-G43 but didn't know if he picked that just because its cheap or if its really a good performer.

What is the main difference between the P67 and X67 motherboards? And what motherboard do you all recommend for price/performance? Only have 2 SATA drives so dont need crazy 8 SATA ports or anything fancy, just good performance for gaming.

Bonus question, whats a good cheap CPU cooler for the 2500k?
Thanks!

Ok I have read up on a couple other posts about the Hyper 212+, definately pick that one up.

Any help on which motherboard? Seems like everyone here likes Asus boards but they are expensive...

Im looking at the GD43 and the GD 65 MSI boards. Main question is Im going to SLI 2 EVGA 570 GTX Superclocked boards, want to make sure that SLI will be good with them.

I hear your looking for boards that are 8+/8+, or is 16+/4+ better? Confused by those ratings and what they are for...

Any other specific board recommendations that are really good bang for buck would be hugely appreciated. Dont have to go with MSI, just hear that they are good. Trying to stay under $180 if possible, preferrably cheaper. The mobo is the last piece of my rig Im trying to figure out.

Its lookin like
Antec Nine Hundred Case
I5 2500K CPU
2 x EVGA 570GTX Superclocked 1280mb - SLI
8GB 1600mhz Gskill Ripjaw
T3 Spinpoint 1TB HDD
Hyper 212+ Cooler
PCPower 750W Quad Silencer PSU
Thanks!
