Hi :)

thinking of treating myself to the 1gb version of the 4870 but i'm not to sure whether my psu will handle it?

Having trawled the internet looking for an answer to my question...come across some articles but not much. I've read some that say yes and some that say no...hopefully (cross fingers) someone can give me a definative answer

This is the specs of my seasonic ss 600ht psu 600watts

12v1 18 amps
12v2 18amps

432 watts

My pc is a dual core e6700 and i have 2 sata harddrives and 2 dvd rw and 3gb of ram. The psu is about 3 years old. No overclocks on anything all stock speeds.

If not the 4870 1gb would my psu handle the 512mb version instead?

Anyway if anyone could help me with this i would greatly appreciate it

Many thanks

phil :)

As long as you have two 6 pin slots available on your PSU, you'll be fine.
