Alternatives to Folding/SETI/Distributed for CPU running 24/7?

Are there any interesting alternatives to typical distributed computing tasks like Folding or SETI for a quad-core CPU?

I leave my computer on 24/7 (primarily out of habit) and I'd be interested in trying out something more out-of-the-ordinary, let's say on certain given days, from day-to-day or from week-to-week or so.
