Mobo Help
Last response: in Motherboards
Can I get some suggestions on the best z68 or p67 motherboard for around $180-$200. Would really like them to be black in color. I don't really care for the blue/white color scheme but if the best is in that color then it will just have to do.
System will be used for Gaming Only and mobo needs to be SLI capable and 1155 socket

To be honest, when I'm looking at motherboards, the colour is not high on my list of worries ![:)]( ":)")
However, the ASUS Maximus IV is black with red highlights - would that suit you? It's a P67 that's designed for gaming, with four PCIe x16 slots; three of them are close together - I would just take that to mean I could choose the gap between 2 graphics cards, rather than implying one should install four cards.
The ASUS Sabertooth looks to be mostly black, too. I wouldn't choose it because of that odd cover on it, but maybe it might appeal to you.

(I) must be Color Blind, as the is so far down my list (LOL)
(2) Prefer the Z68 over the P67 series MB. Both equal for OCing and Gaming. My reason is based solely on 2 points (A) Initial build - Not the number on topics dealling with No boot or no video. Having a IGP narrows the problem are. Also should the Dedicated GPU fail, you can still use the Computer (Not for high end gaming) while you procure a "new" GPU. (B) Does not effect gaming, but Does have a couple of additional feature - SRT and video encoding. May be on the bottom og list for gamers, but there if the need arises.
(3) most 1155 MBs will provide x8,x8 for SLI/Xfire. BUT double check.
(4) I prefer Gigabyte. Excluding last one past 4 havet several have been gigabyte and I have not had a single problem with. Last one was ASRock Extreme4 - Worked fine, OC was OK, but perfered the Gigabyte BOIS setup. I would be confortable with Gigabyte, Asus and assrock in the $150->$200 range.

Right now i have my eye on the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P for around $189.
I know color should not be important....but what would be the point of cases that have windows. If my case didnt have windows then I would not care if it looked like a gay parade inside.....windows to me is so you can show off the interior....so thats why im asking for certain colors.
