My USB 3 flash drive gets 30mb/s on my computer, 100 mb/s on another

My USB 3.0 flash drive is running at 30 Mb/s on my computer, however runs at ~100 mb/s on my friends computer. My computer is much more advanced than his rig, however im getting less speed...

Here are some specs:

MOBO: MSI 990FX-GD80
Patriot supersonic XT flash drive 16 gb
Corsair GS SSD @90,000 iOPS
AMD Phenom II x6 1090T OC@ 4.2ghz
Ripjaw Z Ram 16gb @1600mhz
Windows 8 x64

My friend's computer is basically the same, but with a lower OC on processor, the predecessor of my motherboard, and no SSD, instead 7200RPM HDD. Also 10 GB of 1600 ram. And on windows 7.

Sorry for some likely useless information above, im just not sure what will be useful in this situation.
