Hello! This is my first time building a computer and I want to make sure that everything is compatible and that I am not making any huge errors in what I chose. I would appreciate any help/advice to make sure I get it right.

I am on a pretty strict budget for a gaming computer (<$800) and so I switched from newegg.com to tigerdirect.com to save on tax (I live in CA).

Here it is:

Patriot PVV34G1333LLK Sector 5 Viper II 4GBPC10600 RAM - 4GB, DDR3, 1333MHz, 2x2048MB

Asus M4N75TD Motherboard w/ AMD Phenom X4 955 Black Edition Processor Bundle

Western Digital WD5000AAKS Caviar Blue Hard Drive - 500GB, 7200rpm, 16MB, SATA-300, OEM

Sony Optiarc AD-7260S-0B 24x DVDRW Drive - 24x, S-ATA, Black, OEM

Ultra Gladiator Black ATX Mid-Tower Case & Diablotek PHD 650W ATX Power Supply Bundle

XFX HD585XZAFC Radeon HD 5850 Video Card - 1GB GDDR5, PCI-Express 2.0, CrossFireX Ready, Dual DVI, Display Port, HDMI

Thank you!!

That mobo doesn't support crossfire from what I know, only SLI (for Nvidia video cards).

Phenom II X4 955

Asus M4A87TD USB3

Asus M4A88TD-V EVO USB3

For crossfire:

That video card is strong enough you can get a non crossfire mobo and a less powerful PSU if you don't add a second card.

This PSU is good for a single video card:
