Well there would be no point in getting both a 9800gt and 240 because they can't sli... no performance gain... How about a GTX 460?

Nope I'm looking for multi-displays more than gaming so I'm setting my budget to $50 per car after MIR (I'll need 4 cards)

If it's just multi displays that you're after then forget SLi and just get the cheapest dual DVI output card you can find.

^I agree with mousemonkey.

@ Tamz_msc : You're such a kiss ass! but yeah, mousemonkey is right (and great by the way-I wonder who the kiss ass is now...?)

if its for games, running physx off one card and other visual aspects off the other would help!

for multi display with no mean graphic necessity, then getting cheaper cards will do

see if you can find an Nvidia Quadro NVS 420 on ebay for like $250.00 it supports 4 outputs, only thing, it won't support monitors that require dual-link DVI like the Dell 30-inch monitors...
