Aliens Vs Predator 2010 really cranks the Temp on my 9800gtx+ is 71 ok

Hello everyone. So far the best looking game ive played this year is the New Aliens vs predator. Though im only currenlty running direct X9 it looks Awesome .

This game looks fricken amazing and plays ok on my Pny 9800gtX+ 512mb. But man does the card get warm with this game and the fan sure spins hard and loud. I noticed it was at about 71 deggrees under heavy load in this game. The question is what are the max temps on a 9800gtx+ it can handle? Any answers would be greatly appreciated thanks looks like direct x 11 is gonna be pretty dam cool.

  1. 71'C??
    It's a damn cool, man... :)

Don't worry about that temps, your card can handle up to 100'C.
9800GTX+ is a HOT card, it tends to run hot all the time.
  2. cool thanks my case has 5 fans . 2 intakes and 3 exhausts
  3. 71 degrees is very good for a 9800 GTX.
  4. Not sure what you people are talking about.......my EVGA 9800GTX+ idles around 44C and even playing demanding games like Dragon Age Origins never exceeds 60C. It is one of the coolest running cards I have ever had. The 9800GTX ran hotter but the 9800GTX+ was the die shrink to 55nm. Use some compressed air to clean your card OP but be careful not to spin the fan too fast and destroy the bearing.

That would depend on the type of cooling each card has.
