Hello everyone,

I need your help. I need to buy a mobo either Gigabyte or Asus. Is it true that Gigabyte uses better materials and their mobos are less faulty and live longer ?

It must be socket LGA 755, chipset P45 and ddr2 as far as RAM goes.
Basically I don't want to buy anything just the motherboard.

So as far as Gigabyte is being concerned I thought that maybe getting myself GA-EP45-UD3P or GA-EP45-DS3 would be a good choice. As for Asus I thought about P5Q-E or P5Q SE2 But I'm not sure cause they all seem to look more or less alike and this drives me crazy cause there certainly are sosme differences.

I want a mobo that will be good for games even though I must admit I'm not a hardcore gamer. Still I like games. i also must add that my eye sght is not the best quality ;)  and the better image, the more crisp it is the better for me. i know graphics card is very inportant here but had msi chipset g31 and the image got terribly worse (before msi i had Intell p35 , that was a beauty)

Which model should I choose and what brand ?

Here are the mobos I think about:

Asus http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/Intel...

Edited: I dont know whether this matters but I have Asus EN9500GT/1G

You mentioned image quality. I recommend a 22 inch LCD 1920 x 1080 hd monitor if you don't have one yet. Mine has been working fine for about two years now. Acer has one for only $99 right now listed at fatwallet. With the money you have left over, get whatever board you can afford. If you can't find a good ddr2 board that you can afford, get some ddr3 and sell your old ddr2. Frys had some 4 gb of 1333 ddr3 for only $17 after rebate two days ago.
