$800 i5 760 gaming build

Hey guys, first post. I want to build a gaming computer for no more than $800. This would be my fist time building a computer.

I'm thinking:
Intel core i5 760 (for around $15 less i could get the 750) $100
a Radeon 5670: $100

I selected that graphics card because it had directx11 but I don't know If I made a good choice.
I would like to know if these two go well together, and if my graphics card choice is good. I need help picking out other components. Thanks!

More about gaming build
  1. 5670 is too slow to be a gamer for most people - depends on your monitor.
that i5 is fine, you should still have plenty of budget for a semi decent build to go around it.
  2. I see, maybe a 5750 or 5770 (depends if the 5770 is actually worth $20 more)
  3. For 20$ more? Is that 1 GB version? Yes it worth 20$ more, it has roughly double the 5670's performance.
  4. Well Yeah, it's usually about $40 more but I can get it for about 120
  5. I'm building my first comp, so this is what I have at around 705 with rebates (and no cd-drive/Windows). I posted a topic on it too so maybe look in there if any other suggestions pop up

    Seagate Barracuda 750GB hard drive

    Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) ram

Rosewill Blackbone case and OCZ ModXStream 600W power supply (combo!)

    i5-760 and EVGA 132-LF-E655-KR (combo!)

with discounts and rebates: $705-ish but you'll be using a diff gpu saving about $100. good luck!
