Internet connection problem

I originally submitted this question on the Homebuilt Forum, but was directed to this forum.

I installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit on a 2 year old computer with a Gigabyte EP45-DS3R motherboard and an Intel Quad Q9450 - on a new hard drive. I have actually installed a Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit as an upgrade from a Windows XP Pro also on this computer.
Every time I turn off the computer, I lost internet connection. The only way to get it back is to turn off the computer, unplug my ethernet cable, turn it back on, let it boot up completely, and then plug the ethernet cable back in. Then everything works! And this happened on both of my Windows 7 installation.
Any idea how I can solve this problem?

I believe you may have found the problem. There is a brand new driver for the Realtek LAN driver for the motherboard that was issued a few days ago. I will start working on it and see what happens. Thanks.
