  1. Gaming - P67
    Desktop + MPEG-2/4 - Z68

The frame rates are a toss-up on either, the USB/SATA is slower on Z68.

The Z68 offers: iGPU {most models}, Virtu support with MPEG-2/4 encoding acceleration {most models}, and SSD Caching which IMO is financially useless -> get a 120GB SSD X2~x4 faster + HDD. Therefore, it leaves the MPEG-2/4 encoding.

    1) If you will use the integrated graphics, then the Z68 will be necessary to overclock the "K"

    2) Video encoding is better on the Z68

    3) The ssd cache on the Z68 is a marginal benefit in select configurations.

    4) The Z68 will be a bit more expensive.

    -----------Bottom line-----------
The Z68 is newer and has no downside, so I would consider it best, and probably worth the small price premium.
