Hello,

Does anyone know, please, whether the Packard Bell Butterfly Touch (which does not have a buit-in optical drive) can boot from a USB-connected external drive? I am thinking of buying Bounceback Ultimate back-up software, but their website warns that this software will only work on PCs having USB as an available bootable device port from within the system BIOS. How can I tell? Thanks for any advices. Tony

Go into BIOS (hit the Del or whatever key is required to enter Setup, while booting) and go to Boot menu. See if it has an option to enable booting from USB device. If it does, you can go and change the boot order and pick that option as first boot cevice, HDD second.
