i take it your name is also Dane, well i would Sli 3 x GTX 465, its within your budget and will perform better than 2 x GTX 480, which is over your budget!!

thats if you are leaning to nvidia??

I dont prefer Nvidia over ATI but when you have a monitor capable of 3d why not?
Also, i only have 2 PCi express lanes so 3x gtx 465 will not work.

dane(danish) i am from Denmark.

2 Gtx 460, why they use less power, and its more powerfull than a gtx 480. Also its uses less power and its much cooler than its higher end brothers.

Your motherboard does not support SLI. The best you can do on the Nvidia side is a single GTX 480. Had it been SLI I would have recommended 2 GTX 460s or 470s. As for 3D ATI is supposedly working on it and should have driver support in the not too distant future. I believe there are third party solutions that will allow you to game in 3D with ATI cards already but honestly I don't know much about them or how good they are.

CF 5850s is great. Since you can't SLI, a single GTX480 is a good card, but CF5850s will outperform just one. A 5970 is also really good although 2 5850s perform extremely close to it and cost less.

With the promo code that HD5970 doesn't actually cost much more than 2 HD5850s which is why I recommended it. And it does have 11% more shaders.
